Promote family wellness and parent engagement by developing positive goal oriented relationships with families. Partner with families to initiate and implement the family partnership process and assist families to establish child development and family life practice goals to foster school readiness and life skills. Provide initial enrollment support and direct follow up with families interested in Head Start.
The Early Childhood Coach helps Head Start teachers, assistant teachers and center directors develop
new skills and continuously improve their early childhood teaching practices. The Early Childhood
Coach engages staff in a collaborative process that involves observation, reflective communication,
training, role modeling, and goal setting.
Early Head Start Teacher
Support education opportunities for infants, toddlers and their families by assisting, providing and implementing a quality developmentally appropriate early experience for families enrolled. Conducts home visits with families to emphasize the home as the child’s primary learning environment and to provide solid foundations for parenting.
Head Start Teacher
Help today’s young children develop to their fullest potential! Looking for enthusiastic, qualified early childhood educators who want to make a difference in the lives of young children and families. Full time August through May with summers off. Great benefits package. Ongoing training and professional development including coaching. Minimum requirement: Associates degree in Early Childhood Education/Development or related degree – related education degrees evaluated on a case-by-case basis using transcripts.
Substitute Assistant Teachers
Used in an on-call/as needed basis. Support education opportunities for children and families by assisting the Head Start Teacher in providing and implementing a quality developmentally appropriate preschool experience for children enrolled. Minimum requirement: High School Diploma/Equivalent* and desire to work professionally with young children.
