Early Head Start Teacher/Center Director

Supports education opportunities for infants, toddlers, and their families by assuring implementation of a high-quality, comprehensive child development program. This position combines supervisory responsibility with direct services in the classroom. This Early Head Start center provides services for several families in partnership with the Crossroads School for Parenting Teens.

Required:
4-year degree in Early Childhood Education/Development (must have courses in infant/toddler development, etc.) related education degrees evaluated on a case-by-case basis using transcripts.
Prefer: Bi-lingual (fluent written and verbal) Starting Salary: 4-Year Degree ($19.25) Graduate Degree ($20.25)
 
 
Head Start Teacher:
Support education opportunities for children and families by assisting, providing and implementing a quality developmentally appropriate preschool experience for children enrolled. Conducts home visits with families to emphasize the home as the child’s primary learning environment. This postion does some home visiting.
Required:
2-year degree in early childhood education/development or related 2-year degree with 6 or more courses in early childhood education/development plus experience working with preschool-aged children. Pay is $15.25 per hour.
 
4-year degree in early education/development or a related 4-year degree with 6 or more courses in early childhood education/development plus experience working with preschool-aged children. Pay is $17.25 per hour.
 
Candidates applying who hold a current CDA Credential who have substantial coursework completed toward their 2-year degree in early education/development (meaning they are enrolled in classes and will graduate with a 2-year degree) may be considered if they can provide a degree plan that outlines their progress and shows completion of requirements prior to 5/31/2011 - pay for teachers who are approved through this plan is $13.25 per hour
 
 
 
 
Substitute Assistant Teachers
KCI continuously accepts applications for Substitute classroom staff. Pay is $10.11 per hour.
RequireD:
High School Diploma/Equivalent and desire to work professionally with young children
